The place I work at recently decided to pull most of its advertising from the phonebook, for over 23 years, we have had several different spots in the phonebook and have paid the extras for a more bold text, larger ads, and more categories. With the change in the economy and the changes in the technological world, a lot more people are jumping to the web. The conveniance of the internet has made finding information much more effecient and effective. It takes time to flip through the thousand or thousands of pages in the phonebook that you use less and less every year. It is because of the ever growing web.So what’s my point? The point is that we all are using more and more of the internet and every day are in more demand for a website that functions well, provides the information people are looking for but also easy to use. Why pay the big bucks for paper phone book when a website is much more effective. I myself am more apt to work with a business if they have a website for one but a good designed website is best. This tells me that the company has taken the time and money to invest in making their product or service more available and gives me the feeling that this is not only a reputable business but also someone who takes care of their potential clients by providing good information.
